The Rhythm of Drums

Is an interactive, educational exhibition of the spirit. Students learn the art of dancing, drumming and singing and how it relates to cultural differences. It's an interactive, hands on musical adventure as seen through the eyes of a master storyteller.

Red Hawk Speaks

Through storytelling, Chief Red Hawk teaches about the history of the Native Americans and teaches respect for his people and the animals.  He brings a wonderful message of hope, respect, motivation and history to children of all ages as Red Hawk incorporates song, dance, flute-playing, and stories in an interactive school program.

"We were inspired and moved at the response from the children. Our teachers agreed that this has been by far the best performance and workshop we have ever had on motivation for children. "

       - Becky Baraty, Principal, Burnt Chimney -Teachers Conference, Homestead Resort

Oh, the places you'll go!

The late Dr. Seuss ended his days with a splendid final book, a truly joyous ode to creativity.  It's called "Oh, the places you'll go," and what a wonderful Technicolor adventure it is!  As the title suggests, it's a story about going places - the adventures, the opportunities, and the surprises - but also the bumps, the letdowns, the dead-in-the water-spinning-your-wheels slumps.  It's a story abut having the confidence to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and go on in pursuit of the dream, because -according to the gospel of Seuss;

You have brains in your head.
Your have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy/gal who'll decide where to go.

Like the book's hero, artists themselves are on a wonderful journey.  What's your destination?  Perhaps a more important question would be, why do so many of artists give up on their journey?  It's mainly because some of us have wonderful pictures in our heads, all bright, beautiful and technically correct, but we get frustrated trying to recreate that same picture on paper.  We want to walk away from our creative journey.  We get frustrated because we can't convey what we want on paper or we don't think we're good enough or fast enough to finish once we've started.  At my graphic workshop I will give you the motivation you need and the tricks of the trade to create whatever images your journey takes you on.  My techniques, which have been developed for over 20 years, have been time tested and proven to be the fastest and easiest way to learn all aspects of art, even if you have never taken an art class before.
 You will learn; How to be fast, loose and good, gain confidence, understand graphic principles, quick methods in one and two point perspective and sketching techniques.

Other classes include, cartooning, airbrush with markers techniques, mixed media, pen and ink, watercolors, oil, and creating fine art.
