Hawk is a nationally known, professional consultant and a motivational keynote speaker with 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He has extensive experience on the topics of leadership, cultural diversity, issues of social change and structural inequality. He has lectured to over one million government officials, senior leaders, managers, supervisors and employees on diversity, leadership, and team building. He has also contributed to developing training videos and training materials for Alexander Consulting and Training. Red Hawk has experience conducting complex workplace investigations, organizational problem solving, mediating employment disputes, and designing and presenting labor and employee relations training for managers and supervisors. He also has extensive experience in the areas of understanding culture and cultural competency for both civilian companies and DOD (Department of Defense) organizations.
Red Hawk is a member of the National Center for Cultural Competence at Georgetown University and an advisory board member of the Old Negev Research Institute (ONRI). He is also a member of the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activates (APCA) and a voting member of the GRAMMY’s. He is a certified trainer in TQM (Total Quality Management), Cultural Diversity, Leadership and OPSEC (Operations Security and Awareness). He received the Navy Achievement Medal and the Humanitarian Medal from the Secretary of the Navy and has won two national TELLY Awards. Red Hawk was also awarded the 2010 Top5 Speaker Award by Speaking.com.
He is the author of “The Tao of an Indian” and has contributions in “All God’s Children, Racial and Ethnic Voices in the LDS Church.” His two new books set for release in September 2010 are titled “A Course in Diversity,” and “Alexander Hawk’s Cultural Dictionary.”
His background, experience, and travels throughout the United States, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, England, Mexico, Canada, Korea, Singapore, and the Philippines – bring a truly diverse perspective to any platform.
CULTURAL PROGRAMS:
Red Hawk has performed in thousands of schools throughout the United States. His stage programs and performances at local festivals, corporate functions, dinner events, and educational institutions have continually increased over the past several years because of his ability to adapt the simplest story to reflect deeper meanings in our everyday lives. Over the course of his 2000-2001 international lecture series, he reached his goal of performing for over one million participants worldwide.
MUSIC: His CD, “The Songs Remember” won a 2004 TELLY Award for music video of the year, received a nomination for “Best Spoken Word” in the 2004, 2006 and 2007 NAMMY’s (Native American Music Awards) a 2005 IMA (Independent Music Award) nomination, and presidential recognition from George W. Bush.
His latest CD, “Flight of the Hawk,” won the 2008 Native American Music Award for Best Historical Recording of the year.
